Daniel Taub’s status as one of the fastest-rising Jewish-Israeli diplomats today would seemingly make him an unlikely source for the creation of one of Israel’s leading soap dramas, yet, aside from playing an integral role in the Foreign Ministry, he is also the mind behind the breakout show, “Rebbe’s Court.”
It was several years ago, that while participating in a workshop in which ideas were exchanged about the creation of new content for the upcoming Tchelet network, that he presented the idea to the panel. Surprisingly, not only were they aboard with his innovative new idea, they also asked him to produce a sample script. Realizing the way in which he could affect the stereotypes that have long been problematic throughout the region, he jumped at the chance – choosing to take time off from his normal work schedule.

Having a full understanding of the climate within the Jewish-Israeli community, Daniel Taub was initially very reluctant to reveal his involvement, but he would soon realize that, not only was “Rebbe’s Court” a welcome addition, it would provide a significant boost to his rapport in the region that he has unwaveringly championed.
Daniel Taub’s writing and communication roots can be traced back to his time in London, when, while a student at Oxford University, he participated in the debate team, eventually rising to the position of captain.
To say that Mr. Taub is a natural leader would be a severe understatement. Shortly after graduation, Mr. Taub, wishing to gain a deeper connection with his Jewish-Israeli heritage, uprooted himself from the world he knew so well and relocated to Israel with his wife and oldest child.
This relocation would mark the beginning of his political career. After receiving an invitation form Chaim Herzog, he later served in the Israel Defense Forces, creating a very solid resume for himself.
During this time, the Foreign Ministry was seeking a man of his qualifications due to his knowledge of the law in foreign countries, and he has since been working with them.
Today, he continues to be a staunch representative of the people of Israel, making numerous public appearances, while increasing Israel’s profile on an international level.
